Ad Scientiam launches programs to develop digital biomarkers for chronic neurological diseases

February 28, 2023

Digital biomarkers: gMG and NMOSD

On Rare Disease Day, Ad Scientiam, a leader in digital biomarkers, is launching two programs for the self-assessment of patients with generalized autoimmune myasthenia gravis (gMG) and neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorder (NMOSD).

These serious chronic diseases are difficult to monitor because there is currently no objective measurement tool to track the evolution of symptoms over time. Digital biomarkers could provide data to improve remote monitoring of disease symptoms and strengthen communication between patients and healthcare professionals.

These programs are supported by Alexion, AstraZeneca Rare Disease, and the selected digital biomarkers will be validated in comparative multicenter studies against clinical standards.
